Welcome to the New Harmony Singers Website.

Brief History

The New Harmony Singers are a mixed group of voices from Torfaen County Borough. It was thirty years ago in 1979 that Pamela Guy, together with her accompanist Heather Langdon brought in to being the New Harmony Singers . Their dedication has made the singers into the force that they are today. In a country dominated by male voice choirs, this choir has carved its own niche on the Welsh choral movement. The Choir are equally at home in the concert hall, church or on the cabaret circuit. :

As a registered charity themselves, they perform regularly for other charities and voluntary organisations, and have helped raise in excess of £150,000. The group thoroughly enjoy their music and have won a number of trophies over the years, including the Bath & Mid Somerset Festival and the Gladys Ridout Cup from the Bournemouth Music Festival.

The Choir have undertaken very successful tours of Germany, America, Italy and France. They completed their French tour with a performance in the Fantasy Stage Theatre in the Magic Kingdom, Disneyland, Paris. The singers are currently planning a 30th Anniversary tour for 2009.

On our site you’ll find more information about the group, our MD and Accompanist, our members, up and coming concerts, recordings, photos, information for those who may be interested in joining and for those who would like to make an enquiry about booking the Choir.
